What my thoughts say about announcement cards
It seems that no one even bothers to write letters anymore, and for many people, such things as baby announcements are relics of the past that are remembered fondly, but hardly ever practiced today. Even so, baby announcements remain viable means of announcing a child's entrance into the world to your friends and loved ones. While there is certainly something to be said about the convenience of relatively recent innovations such as e mail, instant messaging, text messaging, and social networking websites, and their ability to help people connect in numerous and new and more efficient ways, sending out baby announcements is a tradition that is still a viable means of spreading the word about such a momentous occasion. Besides, for an event that is as significant as the birth of a child, baby announcements are certainly far more appropriate than any of the more tech savvy means of communication. Of course, you do have to make the effort to make your baby announcements more palatable to a generation that was weaned on electronic means of communication.
