Another way you might obtain a credit card for bad credit is to apply through a retail store, such as a smaller department store. Often these establishments are more liberal with accepting applications than bigger stores or credit card companies. If you are approved, be sure that you only make small purchases and then pay the balance on time. If you ask someone who you trust to cosign for a credit card as another option, make sure that they have a good credit record.
